TINT and JAEA had a bilateral discussion on the nuclear HRD cooperation

Thailand Institute of Nuclear Technology (Public Organization) or TINT held a Steering Committee Meeting (SCM) 2022 with the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA), from 4 to 6 October 2022 at TINT, Bangkok. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Phiriyatorn Suwanmala, Deputy Director of TINT.

The Meeting served as a mechanism established under the cooperation between TINT and JAEA regarding the nuclear human resources development (HRD). The cooperation framework focuses on three specific fields namely reactor engineering, nuclear/radiological emergency preparedness, and environmental radioactivity monitoring. A number of Thai participants from various organization so far participated in and benefited from the HRD activities held by JAEA, such as Chulalongkorn University, Kasetsart University, Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, Office of Atoms for Peace and TINT. The cooperation has contributed to the sustainability of the nuclear knowledge transfer in Thailand.
